This Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page should answer most if not all of your questions about our products and facility.  However, you can never be too careful regarding food allergies, so please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything else you need to know.

Section 1 – FAQ – General:

Facility:

Q: A friend of mine told me that you make the best allergy-friendly chocolates on the planet.  Is this true?

A: Yes. Safe Sweets makes the best allergy-friendly chocolates on the planet.  Your friend sounds pretty smart (and has great taste!).

Q: Are your products made in a peanut-free, tree nut-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free facility?

A: Yes. All of our products are handmade in our dedicated peanut-free, tree nut-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free facility.

Q: Are your products Vegan?

A: Our chocolate is vegan, our rice crisps are vegan, and our marshmallows are vegan. However, our pretzels are not vegan (Gluten-Free Chocolate Pretzel Bark and Gluten-Free Chocolate Covered Pretzels).

Q: Are your products truly peanut-free and Tree nut-free?

A: Yes. All of our products are peanut-free and Tree nut-free and no nuts of any kind are ever brought into, much less processed in our facility, ever.

Q: Are your products gluten-free?

A: Yes. All of our products are gluten-free.  We run a dedicated gluten-free facility.

Q: Do any of your products contain Soy?

A: Yes. Only our Chocolate Marshmallows Clusters and Chocolate Marshmallow Mini’s contain soy. However, this product is handmade and packaged in a separate, contained area of the facility to prevent any possible cross-contamination.  Moreover, the marshmallows (which contain soy) are manufactured in a separate timeframe, allergen-friendly facility.

Section 2 – FAQ – Shipping & Refunds: 

Are you apprehensive about ordering because you’re worried that the chocolate might melt?  Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!  All or some of our products are shipped with reusable ice packs, insulated aluminum foil bubble liner, bubble wrap, and bio-degradable peanuts.  But even more important than any insulation or ice packs is the Safe Sweets “Melt-Free Guarantee” (see below).  And if the following Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) don’t put you completely at ease, please call or e-mail your questions to  ask@safesweets.com.

NOTICE: When checking out please be sure to look over your Shipping Address. Do not use the address autofill provided by the website.

WARNING: Stolen Packages. We and the Postal Service is not responsible for stolen packages. Please report theft to your local Postal Service and Police Station.  

Q: How long does Order Processing take and When is my product shipped? 

A: Online Orders are processed the day off and ready for shipping in 1 business day. Please give us plenty of time to process your order so that it will arrive at your scheduled time. Once your order is shipped, a USPS Tracking Number will be emailed to you to track your package.

A: Orders are dropped off by 5 pm on Weekdays at the USPS.

Q: How are your products shipped?

A: All of our products are shipped using USPS (United States Postal Service) 2-3 day priority mail (not guaranteed by USPS). Shipping can be delayed due to several unforeseen situations.

A: FedEx is used under certain weight requirements.

Q: How are your products shipped During the Summer Season?

Warm Weather Shipping Policy: During the warm summer months (generally April through September), we ship orders only on Mondays through Wednesdays by 3 pm. While this may occasionally delay your order, we must do everything reasonably within our power to ensure that your chocolate does not melt during the delivery process. Similarly, during these summer months, we add plastic liners to protect your chocolate from condensation and a protective layer of insulation, and we include ice packs to control the temperature of the package during delivery. 

Q: How are your products shipped during Cold Seasons?

A: We ship your products on weekdays (Monday-Friday) except on observed Federal Holidays.

A: Orders are dropped off by 5 pm on Weekdays at the USPS.

Q: Can I pick up my order instead of shipping?

A: Yes, you may pick up your order. At checkout, you can choose the “In-Store pick-up” option. You will receive a confirmation email with instructions when your order is ready to be picked up. Pick up location will not be pickup at the manufacturing facility. Our Store-Front is CLOSED to the Public, please follow your confirmation pick-up email.

Q: I mistakenly chose “Pick up my order” instead of shipping. What can I do?

A. Mistakes happen, just let us know you would like your order shipped and we will collect payment by emailing you your shipping invoice. Please email us at ask@safesweets.com.

Q: What if my product arrives damaged?

A: We take numerous measures to ensure that your items will not be damaged during shipment, including bubble wrap. paper liner and or biodegradable shipping peanuts. In the unlikely instance that your items arrive damaged, please immediately take a picture of the damaged items and send it to ask@safesweets.com so that we can assess and address the damage.

Q: What if my product arrives melted?

A: One of the many things that separates Safe Sweets from our competitors is our “melt-free guarantee.”  If your product arrives melted, send us a picture of the melted items and we will replace them at no charge.  It’s that easy!  We do not want our customers to have to worry about something going wrong with the postal service, extreme weather, or any other variable outside of their control.  However, We strongly encourage you to ship to a business address or any address where someone is likely to be available to receive the shipment at the time it is delivered.

If your product(s) arrive melted/damaged, please immediately take a picture of the melted/damaged product and send it to ask@safesweets.com. We will quickly assess your request and if an exchange is warranted we will provide you with a return shipping label. Once we receive your defective items, we will issue you a replacement.  We will NOT issue replacements for any defective items that are not returned to us unless we specifically advise you not to return them.

 

Section 3 – FAQ – SUMMER ORDERS and Hot US Regions.

Q: When is the best time to order during the summer, or when living in a hot region? 

A. We can’t tell you when to order, but we can tell you that Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday are the best days to order your chocolates, as it will align with our shipping days. Shipping days are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for a window of 2-3 day delivery service.

Q: What if I ordered my chocolates on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday?

A. All orders will be processed and put on hold for Monday shipping. If you would like your order shipped and forfeit your melt-free guarantee, email us at ask@safesweets.com
